Madame Gandhi

Kiran Gandhi (born February 21, 1989), also known by her stage name Madame Gandhi, is an American musician, producer, drummer and activist. She began her solo music career in 2015 after participation in the London Marathon while free-bleeding drew international attention and sparked discussion around menstrual stigma. Prior to her solo work, she performed as a drummer for M.I.A., Thievery Corporation, Oprah, and Kehlani, and has been recognized as a TED Fellow, Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree, and BBC 100 Women honoree. Gandhi studied mathematics and women's studies at Georgetown University in 2011and later earned an MBA from Harvard Business School in 2015. In 2022, she also completed a master's degree in music, science, and technology at Stanford University, where her work included recording environmental sounds as part of research on music and climate awareness. Her work spans music and advocacy, with a focus on gender equality and environmental sustainability. She has collaborated with initiatives including EarthPercent and has received the Abe Olman Prize from the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
