Revis
Revis is an American post-grunge band from Carbondale, Illinois. Formed in 1999 under the name Orco, the band built a local following before moving to Los Angeles in the early 2000s. There, they signed to Epic Records and released their debut album, Places for Breathing, in 2003. Revis received mainstream attention with the single "Caught in the Rain", which peaked at no. 8 on the US Billboard Mainstream Rock chart and appeared on Daredevil: The Album, the soundtrack to the film Daredevil. Despite this success, Revis disbanded in 2005 while working on a follow-up album.
They reformed in 2010 but struggled to release new music. Despite extensive work on new material, including an EP named Fire and Ice and a full-length album titled Do We Have to Beg? reportedly being finished, internal disagreements between band members and the record label prevented further releases beyond a handful of promotional singles. After the abrupt cancellation of the album, the band announced their second breakup in 2012. In 2024, they reformed again and issued the EP Bottles of Lightning, and the full-length album Killing Time followed in November 2025.
